Infrastructure and software systems

Blue Seagull Group

We build the infrastructure that performance-sensitive work depends on, and the systems that run on top of it. Laridae is what we made with it first.

1. Infrastructure you can point at

Plenty of companies call themselves a cloud platform before there is anything concrete to see. We went the other way. Ship the thing people can actually understand, which is professional software streamed from cloud workstations, and let the infrastructure story stand behind it.

Laridae is that thing. Everything underneath it, including how capacity gets provisioned, how environments are bounded, and how streams travel, is our real work. It was built for demanding software rather than bent to fit it afterwards.

The name comes from the gull family, Laridae. The system carries the company forward.

Group architectureBlue Seagull Group is the company. Laridae is the system it develops for professional software streaming; Competitive Intelligence is its market and technology monitoring practice.

2. A few things we will not trade away

Operating principles
No.PrincipleWhat it means in practice
01Build for the hard workWe design around the workloads that punish hardware, where the feel of a tool decides whether people adopt it. Performance-sensitive is the starting point rather than a feature bolted on later.
02Say where we areEarly access is labelled early access. We tell you what is validated and what is not yet, and we keep our claims inside what we have actually built.
03Keep the work governedYour files, your state, and your access live at the environment boundary, because that is how the system is built rather than a promise in a policy document.
04Own the whole thingThe workstation, the stream, and the environment model are designed together by one company. When something goes wrong there is one place the buck stops.
05Build across the borderWe build across the United States and Mexico, for the teams, campuses, and growing companies that heavier workstation economics have quietly priced out.

3. Built across the United States and Mexico

Laridae runs on infrastructure across the United States and Mexico, and the company is built around cloud adoption on both sides of that border. That includes the teams and universities in Latin America that heavy workstation economics have long underserved.

You can hear it in the system. Persistent environments areBodegas and on-demand sessions are Despachos. The system speaks the geography it runs on.

4. Weighing up Laridae for your team

Start with a briefing. We will go through the system against your software, your network, and your workflow, and be straight about what is ready and what is not.
